TVG 001: 2 NIGHTS /3DAYS GAMBA ISLAND
Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary on Lake Victoria is located on a beautiful forested island and is home to approximately 40 chimpanzees rescued from poachers. The semi-wild environment allows for close viewing of the animals in their natural habitat. Optional extra: a day’s forest walk with the mischievous chimps as they play in the forest (full or half day on payment of supplement at time of booking). Clients are responsible for having a number of vaccinations and tests done in advance before they can be allowed to participate in the forest walk. Please ask for detailed information.
DAY 1: THURSDAY
Briefing on your safari. Boat from Entebbe pier to Ngamba Island. Depending on time of arrival, a choice of activities on Ngamba - feeding the chimpanzees, or bird watching. Overnight at Ngamba Island Camp. (FB).

DAY 2: FRIDAY
Choices of activities as on day 1. For those who have had the required set of medical inoculations, a forest walk with the chimps is a unique experience. The playful chimps climb on you, pull your hair, or just walk along holding your hand! (Clients must have specific up to date vaccinations for this activity, which is restricted to three people at any one time, and should ask for further details before booking). DAY 3: SATURDAY
Boat transfer to Entebbe in time for your flight.

TVG 002: 3 NIGHTS/4 DAYS MAHALE MOUNTAINS

Tracking chimpanzees in the forests of Mahale Mountains is a humbling experience as you come face to face with man’s closest relative. There are very few areas left in Africa where it is possible to track chimpanzees in the wild and the location of Mahale Mountains National Park on the shores of Lake Tanganyika is surely one of the most atmospheric in Africa

DAY 1: TUESDAY

Fly Arusha-Mahale, transfer to the camp by boat. Hot lunch then short chimpanzee tracking in the forest. Overnight at Nkungwe Tented Camp

DAY 2: WEDNESDAY
Chimpanzee tracking in the forest. Hot lunch, afternoon boat safari with good bird watching. Overnight at Nkungwe Tented Camp

DAY 3: THURSDAY
Chimpanzee tracking in the forest, hot lunch dhow trip fishing on the lake. Overnight at Nkungwe TentedCamp

TVG 003: 2 NIGHTS/3 DAYS RWANDA GORILLAS-PARC NATIONAL DES VOLCANS

Day 1: ARRIVAL
Met on arrival at airport and transfer to Kigali. Briefing on your safari
After lunch, depart for PNV at 2pm. The journey north goes through the
beautiful terraced hillsides that characterise much of Rwanda¹s landscape,
gradually climbing to the base of the awesome Virunga volcanoes, sometimes
with as many as five peaks visible. O/N: Volcanoes Virunga Lodge (FB).

Day 2: PARC NATIONAL DES VOLCAN
Go gorilla tracking in Parc National des Volcans (subject to permit
availability at the time of booking). Tracking the gorillas through the
light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virungas is a magical experience.
If you are lucky you can get to the gorillas, spend an hour with them, and
be back at the base in time for a late lunch! Some gorilla families however
are more elusive, and tracking can take a full day, especially when it is
wet and muddy. O/N: Volcanoes Virunga Lodge (FB).

Day 3: DEPART
Leave for Kigali. Time permitting, go for a tour of the city including a
visit to the market, a pottery project, handicraft shops and the genocide
memorial. Transfer to the airport (HB).

TVG 004: 2 NIGHTS/3 DAYS BWINDI GORILLAS

Day 1 Kampala/Bwindi
Morning depart to the South with stops at the Craft Village at the Uganda
Equator for pictures and shopping. Continue to Mbarara where you will make a
lunch stop then proceed through the beautiful evergreen country referred to
as the "little Switzerland" arrive late evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: BWINDI
Go gorilla tracking (subject to permit availability at time of booking),
walking up steep densely forested hills before finally coming across the
gorillas camouflaged in the vegetation. An inspiring moment! Tracking in
Bwindi requires stamina and can often take most of the day.

Day 3:
Early start for Kampala. Lunch en route. Arrive late afternoon. Transfer to
Entebbe airport for your return flight.

NOTE:

Price include: transport and a driver/guide for the itinerary agreed,
accommodation on a shared basis and meals as stated (on safari full board)
and, where appropriate, boat trips, park fees, chimpanzee permits and one
gorilla permit.

At Volcanoes gorilla lodge, the tariffs are on an all-inclusive basis
including unlimited consumption of all alcoholic and soft drinks; laundry
services; and any activities clients wish to do around the lodges. A
complimentary massage is also offered.

Prices exclude: airfares to Rwanda, entry visas and airport taxes. At
non-Volcanoes lodges all personal expenditure such as tips, telephone calls,
laundry and drinks are excluded.

All gorilla permits need to be purchased at the time of booking or a
deposit equivalent to 20% of the cost of the safari paid, whichever is
higher. Gorilla viewing is subject to availability of permits, which are
limited; any additional gorilla permits required should be purchased when
booking. Gorilla permit prices are subject to change without warning.
