TVIN 005: 12 NIGHTS/13 DAYS NATURAL THERAPY PROGRAM Ayurveda – The traditional indian science of holistic medicine developed over centuries by sages and holy men. Ayurveda is more than just a medical system. It is a Science of Life. Ayurveda is a system that helps maintain health in a person by using the inherent principles of nature to bring the individual back into equilibrium with their true self. In essence Ayurveda has been in existence since the beginning of time because nature's laws have always governed us. Day 1 ArrivE Delhi Day 2 [B] Delhi Overnight stay at THE OBEROI hotel. Day 3 [B] Delhi Afternoon we leave to visit the Old part of Delhi, tour the Raj Ghat, Delhi's monument to Mahatma Gandhi, We visit Jama Masjid, this immense mosque is the largest in India and drive past the Red Fort citadel. Overnight stay at THE OBEROI hotel. Day 4 [B] delhi / agra (200kms – 4hrs) Overnight stay at THE AMAR VILAS resort. Day 5 [b] Agra Morning we have Yoga session at the resort which offers an extensive Yoga menu specially created by professional Yogacharya followed by a sight-seeing tour of the city, visiting the magnificent Taj Mahal (Closed on Fridays) - one of the « Seven Wonders of the World » and surely the most extravagant expression of love ever created. 20,000 men laboured for over 17 years to build this memorial to Shah Jahan's beloved wife. It's a wealth of white marble and semi-precious stone « undoubtedly the highlight of the tour ». Day 6 [B] agra / jaipur (250kms – 5hrs) On arrival we check inn to our luxury spa resort which offers one of the best Spa & Fitness facilities in Asia. Rest of the day is free to relax or enjoy the luxuries of the resort. Overnight stay at the RAJ VILAS resort. Morning we attend Yoga session at the resort followed by a sight-seeing tour of the city visiting the dramatic hilltop fortress at Amber – ascend the imposing fort on a decorated painted elephant. We wander among glittering inlays and the Hall of Mirrors. On the way back we stop to view the elegant Hawa Mahal or Palace of the Winds this elaborate building, now little more than a façade, is encrusted with delicate screens and carved balconies from which the royal ladies, confined to their quarters, could sneak views of the outside world. Post lunch tour of the Maharajah’s City Palace, now partly a museum display a unique fusion of Mughal and Hindu architecture, and house a rare collection of paintings, Rajput armoury and costumes. Day 8 [b] jaipur Full day at leisure in Jaipur we can opt for a wonderful Elephant Safari which is followed by a picnic at the base of Naila fort or to explore the city on our own and indulge in shopping for gemstones, silver jewellery, Paintings, blue pottery and hand printed textiles that Jaipur is renowned for. A rejuvenating Spa Therapy in the evening. Overnight stay at THE OBEROI hotel. Day 10 [B] delhi / rishikesh (240kms – 6hrs) Overnight stay at the ANANDA RESORT IN THE HIMALAYAS. Day 11 [B] rishikesh Overnight stay at the ANANDA RESORT IN THE HIMALAYAS. Day 12 [B] excursion to haridwar We visit the Sapt Rishi Ashram and Sapt Sarovar – according to legend the Saptarshis (seven sages) were deep in meditation here. The Ganga, not wanting to disturb them split herself into seven streams (Sapt Sarovar) around them. Evening we visit Har-ki-pauri in Haridwar to witness the aarti ceremony, the ritual that takes place every evening on the banks of the holy River Ganges where hundreds at devotees prey to Mother Ganga with chanting of mantra and floating lighted lamps.
