TVFL 001: 2 NIGHTS/3 DAYS SAMBURU GAME RESERVE

Depart from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport in the morning. The flight will take you close to the spectacular snow capped peaks of Mount Kenya and over the lush plains of the Laikipia Plateau, home to one of the last great unfenced wildlife populations in Africa.
After a 1 hour 15 minute flight, we’ll land in the desert wilderness of Buffalo Springs, where one of our four-wheel-drive vehicles will be waiting to drive you to Samburu Intrepids luxury camp.
Within a couple of hours of landing in Africa, you’ll be driving through one of the continent’s most spectacular wilderness areas – home to huge herds of elephant, buffalo and all the Big Cats. After checking into your riverside tent, you’ll have lunch and a short siesta before we head back for the plains – and a variety of close encounters with Samburu’s unique and endangered wildlife.
Samburu is famous as home to the rare ‘northern species’ of Beisa oryx, reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, and the graceful giraffe-necked gerenuk antelope. Our acclaimed Adventurers’ Club will also introduce your children to a host of unusual species in the safety of our camp grounds, including the native ‘Small Five’ of leopard tortoise, elephant shrew, buffalo weaver, lion ant and rhinoceros beetle. And for families, we’ve a range of thrilling activities, including camel walks, treks up sacred Mount Ololokwe, and trips to neighbouring Samburu communities, where the pastoralist way of life has remained unchanged for centuries.

TVFL 002: 2 NIGHTS/3DAYS MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE

In the southern part of Kenya lies the world’s most famous game reserve.
Passing over the lush forests of the Mau Escarpment and the sprawling wheat farms of Narok, your plane will descend into a natural Eden, where before you’ve even landed you’ll begin to see the huge herds of elephant, buffalo, zebra and antelope that make the Maasai Mara the world’s greatest living spectacle.
Mara Intrepids is situated on the banks of the Talek River in the heart of this great wilderness, where you’re very likely to see wild animals from your own balcony. But the real aim of the game here is a proper wilderness immersion, and you’ll be allocated your own highly trained guide to guide you on as many as three game drives each day. The Mara’s rolling hills, forests and grassy plains are home to the greatest concentration of wild animals on Earth, and game drives here are always different – sometimes sitting amid hundred-strong herds of elephant, other times tiptoeing past a pride of lions on a kill.
The rains in March have nurtured the Mara’s grasslands, providing plenty of food for its millions of grazers – and plenty of prey for its prowling predators. As well as game drives, our experienced rangers will be on hand to guide you on game walks outside the reserve, while our highly trained children’s guides will take your young ‘Adventurers’ on a variety of educational excursions in the safety of our camp grounds.
Our close relations with the local Maasai communities also allow us to give you a hidden glimpse of the traditional lives being led in ancient villages on the edge of the reserve, while the evenings offer opportunities for romantic sundowners and starlit bush dinners.

TVFL 003: 2 NIGHTS/3 DAYS MARA

Safari in ultimate style at the exclusive Mara Explorer, 5 star Camp.
Situated on the thickly forested river in the middle of the Masai Mara Reserve, the Camp offers guests the ultimate wilderness retreat, where you can watch elephants or hippo drinking from the privacy of your verandah or from you own outdoor Victorian bathtub!
Situated in the heart of the reserve, Mara Explorer enjoys prime views of the spectacular wildebeest migration between June and September.
Game viewing experiences in this part of the Reserve are excellent all year round and some of the world’s most rewarding Bird sightings are seen throughout the year.
The Mara Explorer is widely regarded as one of the Masai Maras most luxurious and well appointed Camps. Each tent is allocated a personal butler.
Additionally, guests can enjoy morning and evening game drives, walking safaris, bush breakfasts and dinners or romantic sundowners in ed hilltop location.

TVFL 004: 7 NIGHTS/8 DAYS NAIROBI/AMBOSELI/MARA/MSA

BIG FIVE FLY IN SAFARI

DAY 1: ARRIVAL NAIROBI

Arrive in Nairobi and transfer to the city center and to the Nairobi
Serena Hotel. If your arrival time in Nairobi is the morning you have a day of leisure and can visit the Giraffe Centre and lunch at the Karen Blixen Coffee Gardens (own cost), visit Karen Blixen home, now a Museum. Return to the Nairobi Serena Hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 2: AMBOSELI
After an early breakfast transfer from Nairobi Serena to Wilson Airport for flight to Amboseli Serena. On arrival in Amboseli you will be met by a professional Guide who will transfer you to the Lodge for check-in. Experience your first game drive in Amboseli with elephants against the back of Africa tallest mountain. Amboseli is renowned for their population of elephants but also for the finest view of Africas tallest mountain Mount Kilimanjaro.

DAY 3: AMBOSELI –MASAI MARA

After an early breakfast depart Amboseli for short flight back to Wilson Airport. Flight to Masai Mara at 10.00am. Upon arrival in the Masai Mara you will be met by a professional driver guide who will transfer you to Keekorok. Keekorok was the first lodge built in the famed Masai Mara. The Lodge has lost non of its splendour over the last 40 years. A must is the Hippo Pool walk-way, which leads you to the Hippo pool but also offers you fantastic views of the Masai Mara. Your first game- drive will take place in the afternoon.

DAY 4: MASAI MARA
Early morning wake-up call and go out on an early morning game drive, the Keekorok area is renowned for spectacular game viewing. Look out for the big five. Lunch, afternoon game drive to explore another recess of the game reserve

DAY 5: MARA-NAIROBI-MOMBASA

Early morning wake up call, there is an option of a balloon Safari (charge not included, but can be booked at the Keekorok Lodge Balloon Safari desk). Or, depart for an early morning game drive. After breakfast, you will fly back to Nairobi. Lunch at the Carnivore Restaurant (cost of lunch not included. Carnivore has been rated amongst the top 50 restaurants in the world. The restaurant is only 5 minutes way from Wilson Airport). After lunch return to Wilson Airport for flight to Mombasa. Arrive in Mombasa and transfer to the 5 star Hotel on the Beach. dinner and overnight.

DAY 6: MOMBASA

Wake up to the sounds of the ocean. Serena Beach Hotel provides an oasis of tranquility whilst delivering a unique mix of high-action water sports, world-class cuisine, styled to resemble a 13th century Swahili town this is the place to totally unwind.

DAY 7: MOMBASA

Spend a day at leisure at the Serena Beach. In the evening, take a cruise on the Tamarind Dhow (costs not included). Please ask Guest relations at the hotel to organize this for you. You will be picked up from the Hotel and after the 4 course sea-food dinner, a live band and dancing you will be transferred back to the hotel.

DAY 8: MOMBASA-NAIROBI

Wake up to your final morning on the beach.
You will take the morning flight at 9.00am back to Nairobi. Depending on the time of your international return flight back home you will transfer direct to the International Airport.
