TVSL 04: 13 DAYS / 12 NIGHTS CLASSICAL SRI LANKA
COLOMBO – ANURADHAPURA – DAMBULLA – KANDY - NUWARA ELIYA – YALA - BENTOTA

Day 01: Arrive Colombo
Arrive Colombo in the afternoon and transfer to the Colombo Hotel. Optional sightseeing of the city. Overnight stay in Colombo.

Day 02: Colombo / Anuradhapura (210 km / 5hrs)
Visit Pinnawala Elephant orphanage in the morning. Thereafter proceed to Anuradhapura.  Sightseeing includes the dagobas (pagodas), and the sacred Bo tree, scion of the original tree under which the Buddha attained enlightenment. Overnight stay in Anuradhapura.

Day 03: Anuradhapura / Dambulla (65 km / 2hrs)
Morning visit the ruins of Polonnaruwa, the medieval capital of the country and later drive to Dambulla En-route visit a wood carving factory. Relax in the hotel in the afternoon. Overnight stay in Dambulla.

Day 04: Dambulla / Sigiriya / Dambulla (30 Km)
Morning visit Sigiriya, Climb the Sigiriya rock fortress - the 600-feet-high rock is a steep climb. Visit a batik factory en-route. Enjoy an elephant back safari in the forest afterwards. Overnight stay in Dambulla.

Day 05: Dambulla / Kandy (72 Km / 2hrs)
Drive to Kandy, visiting the Dambulla Cave Temple and a spice garden en route. Visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic in the evening. Later enjoy a Kandyan dance performance. Overnight stay in Kandy.

Day 06: Kandy
After breakfast commence a city tour of Kandy including visiting a gem laboratory and a silk factory. Later we visit the famous botanical gardens at Peradeniya.  Overnight stay in Kandy

Day 07: Kandy / Nuwara Eliya (80 km / 2hrs)
A scenic drive to the tea country of Nuwara Eliya, visiting a tea factory en route. We check in to our hotel for 2 nights. Visit Hakgala Botanical Gardens. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 08: Nuwara Eliya
Morning drive to Horton Plains, on a windswept saddle at 7,000 feet, for a hike to the Bakers Falls and World’s End, with a sheer 1,000-foot vertical drop. Rest of the day free to explore the town, or enjoy a round of golf. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 09: Nuwara Eliya / Yala (150 km / 3hrs)
Drive to Yala. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay in Yala.

Day 10: Yala
Early morning and afternoon jeep safaris. In addition to the elusive leopard, Yala is home to elephant, deer, wild buffalo, crocodile, wild boar, and many species of birds. Overnight stay in Yala.

Day 11: Yala / Galle / Bentota
Drive to the World Heritage city of Galle, noted for the Dutch Museum, Groote Kerk (Great Church), and National Maritime Museum. Enjoy lunch at a hotel and drive to the white Bentota beach and stay for 2 nights at the hotel. Overnight stay in Bentota.

Day 12: Bentota
Day at leisure.  Overnight stay in Bentota

Day 13: Bentota / Colombo (62 Km / 2 hrs) & Depart
Transfer to the airport in the morning to board our flight in the afternoon.
