NAIROBI/MANYARA/NGORONGORO/SERENGETI/NAIROBI.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL NAIROBI:

Arrival Nairobi, where we will meet you for a transfer to the Nairobi Serena Hotel. A welcome pre safari briefing in your hotel followed by an afternoon sightseeing tour of Nairobi, including visits to Karen Blixen Museum and the Giraffe Centre. Return to the hotel for overnight. DAY 2: NAIROBI-LAKE MANYARA

Breakfast at the hotel followed by a shuttle transfer to Arusha. (Optional flights on request). Lunch at Arusha hotel before proceeding to Lake Manyara Serena Lodge, perched on the Great Rift Valley escarpment overlooking the lake. Dinner and overnight at LAKE MANYARA SERENA (L, D)

DAY 3: MANYARA-NGORONGORO

Early morning game viewing in Lake Manyara national park, searching for the elusive tree climbing lions and viewing hippo at a close range along the lake shore. Continue to Ngorongoro Crater where two thousand foot walls surround a cater floor covering just over one hundred square miles. Arrive at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge which is built in to the crater rim, where you can spend the afternoon game viewing from the comfort of your balcony. Overnight at NGORONGORO SERENA LODGE. DAY 4: NGORONGORO CRATER

An early morning to the crater floor with picnic lunch, for a day of game viewing. The black mane lions rule over this unique domain. The crater is home to thousands of flamingoes that migrate from other Rift VALLEY lakes. Elephant, buffalo and rhino are found in greater concentrations here than anywhere else in Africa. Dinner and overnight at NGORONGORO SERENA LODGE. (B, L, D)

DAY 5: NGORONGORO-SERENGETI

A leisurely drive through Ngorongoro Conservation area this morning, stopping at Olduvai Gorge for a visit to the museum where the collection of archeological artifacts discovered by Louis and Mary Leaky are displayed. Enter the vast Serengeti National Park where wildebeests, zebra and gazelle roam the plains. Arrive at your lodge which is built in the heart of the vast wildlife sanctuary. Lunch at the lodge before an afternoon game drive. Overnight at SERENGETI SERENA LODGE. (B, L, D)

DAY 6: SERENGETI

Enjoy breakfast on the open plains before spending a full day game viewing in the Serengeti. It’s not unusual to find twenty to thirty lion in a single pride resting under the shade of acacia tree! The annual wildebeest migration is the greatest wildlife show on earth with several millions of wildebeest and zebra trekking north to the Masai Mara while the cheetah and hunting dogs follow closely behind. An optional hot air Balloon ride over the Serengeti is the greatest game viewing experience of a lifetime, crusing at a a treetop level over herds of wildebeest and zebra summing up with a magnificent champagne breakfast on the savannah. DAY 7& 8: WESTERN SERENGETI- GRUMETI

Morning transfer to Seronera for a short scheduled flight to Grumeti, in western Serengeti far from most visitors. Your camp manager will meet you on arrival and escort you to KIRAWIRA LUXURY TENTED CAMP, one of the finest luxury safari camps in Africa! A maximum of just fifty guests are accommodated in luxury under canvas surrounded by Victorian antiques. Kirawira is built in a traditional migratory route of the wildebeests not far from Grumeti River which is home to some of the biggest crocodiles in the world! Enjoy two days of game viewing activities including game walks and excursions to the nearby lake Victoria. Overnights at KIRAWIRA TENTED CAMP (FB)

DAY 9: SERENGETI- ARUSHA-NAIROBI

A final game drive at Kirawira, breakfast and transfer to Grumeti airstrip for a flight to Arusha to connect with a flight to Nairobi. On arrival, we meet you for a transfer to the hotel. We have arranged a complementary farewell dinner at the ‘Madhari Restaurant’’ just for you. Overnight NAIROBI SERENA (HB)

DAY 10: NAIROBI-DEPARTURE

Transfer to the JKIA for your onward flight. (B)
